While the US Sailing Team matched a 75-year low in terms of Olympic success, American sailors didn’t do so badly at all. 470 supercoach Morgan Reeser helped bring the GBR 470 men’s team a Silver, matching his own result as a helm back in the early ‘90s, and one of our all-time favorite Anarchists Mark Ivey coached the underdog Swedish team of Freddy Loof and Max Salminen to a surprise Gold!
We’ll have more for you in an upcoming interview with Mark this week, including exactly why these guys aren’t coaching for a US Sailing Team that clearly needs them. But for now, congrats to a couple of great guys, and the only US sailors with 2012 medals.
