The crew over at Rock City Marine have been hard at work, on a new RockBox! Taking the best of the previous RockBox, and redesigning everything else from the ground up. New for the RockBox Blue are buttons added to the case, a SD card for data logging, new remote control case, a new GPS module with the fastest update rate available, a screen that allows the RockBox to be mounted horizontally or vertically, and more.
They also did some tricky optical engineering, and made the screen readable with polarized sunglasses! Getting to the functions you want is easier than ever with the new firmware, simply flip through pages. The firmware is easily upgraded, no more cables needed, simply save the new files to the SD card and the RockBox does the rest. With a backlog of ideas new functions, this is just the start of what the RockBox can do, check it out.
