Grant Simmer has been appointed to a new management role within Oracle Team USA. Yes, that’s correct. Yet another Aussie is being hired by Coutts, this time to run the sailing team for the USA based Defender club of the America’s Cup.
Why should America support Golden Gate YC in their defence of the America’s Cup when the entire team is made up of almost all non-American’s? Do they mean to tell us that of all the sailing talent in the US, there wasn’t one Yank who is on par with the admittedly talented Simmer? The joke is on anyone who bought the idea of Coutts’ notion of job creation for San Francisco. Oh there are jobs, he just never told anyone they would all go to foreigners….
