Our friends and carbonologists at Marstrom are stoked to announce that, fresh off the high of their team winning a grueling Leg 5, Puma VOR co-sponsor Berg Propulsion has joined the Marstrom M-32 family. The Swedish propeller manufacturer just ordered number 6 of the hot jibless racing cat in time for its 100 year anniversary in Sweden this summer. "Our anniversary celebration is something really special, and we are bringing both our new Marstrom M-32 and the boat and team from PUMA OCEAN RACING powered by BERG to our premises in Gothenburg this July to make sure it is a truly memorable event for everyone," said Berg CEO Hakan Svensson. Svensson said BERG’s participation in the Marstrom M-32 is part of a long-term plan to help build a professionally-run circuit for the ultra-light cats, and that his company is looking into buying a second boat once the first is up and running. "It’s a completely different kind of racing from the Volvo, yet still it fits our company’s purposes perfectly and eloquently," said Svensson.
