Sperry Top-Sider Charleston Race Week keeps pumping, with over 200 entries and still nearly two months to go before the mid-April kickoff. With six one-design fleets already in the double digits, three of them well into the 20s and 30s, the offshore classes kicking up with big PHRF classes, and the return of the Farr 30, is there anywhere else you’d rather be in April? Conde Nast doesn’t think so, naming Charleston their 2011 “Best City in the US” – and they don’t even sail.
Organizers have solved all the growth issues from the big 2011 fleet, including adding new launch and haul facilities and continuing with the free storage they’ve had for years now, and they’ve also brought it elite PRO Hank Stuart for the most crowded course; so there are no excuses! Here’s some video inspiration from the 2011 event – as if you need it!
If you haven’t registered, get on it now, and stay tuned for more big announcements from the biggest and best multi-class regatta in the country.
