Louis Morgan, age 75 of Oconomowoc,Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012. He bought and sank his first sail boat age 15 – the first of nine boats named "Hull No!". He competed in collegiate sailing at Notre Dame University, graduating in 1958 with a degree in mechanical engineering. In his own words "I may be the best engineer in the world, but we’ll never know because I’ve never engineered a thing". After college he served in the Navy for two years as an officer. He served as Commodore of the LaBelle Yacht Club, Oconomowoc Wisconsin in 1964, the Wisconsin Yachting Association 1972-74, the Inland Lake Yachting Association in 1989-90 and Admiral of Bilge Pullers in 1983-84. Retiring in 1998, he went on to fulfill his lifelong dream of sailing around the world in the Millennium Odyssey Rally, as captain of his yacht, Risqué from 1998-2000.

Over the years as a dedicated and loving father, he gave each of his four children a lifelong passion for sailing, skiing, and traveling the world. His passion for life, his strong faith and his never-ending, unconditional love were his greatest gifts. A family focused man, he was compassionate and selfless. Constantly curious about the world, he was a thinker, a teacher and a friend to all. In time, our memories of his life will signify his energy returning to each one of us – he is now discovering all the answers to his questions.
