wake-up call

The Victorian (AUS) sailing community has pulled in tightly around Tess Lloyd after the 16 year old sailor chick landed in a coma following a smack on the head during the Aussie Youth Championship in Queensland. Tess has just been brought out of her coma, and is thankfully on a real road to recovery. Here’s an update from ‘48buster’:

It’s a very slow process, she is in the very best care. Three steps toward and one step back. It’s hard right now for her family, as all the sailors who were competing have now headed home, that close support from friends is still there but not like it was when the youths and nationals were on. I know the posts on SA have been appreciated by the family – Tonia was taken back by the level of support from sailors all over the world who have taken an interest in her daughter.
