This is a local San Diego project I am doing some consulting on with M Ship, the guys who designed and built the Stiletto. They are all ex AC designers, engineers and builders. This web site tells more of the story. Also here is a video link of the REI test platform in action. It allows 2 boat testing in waves at a greatly reduced cost to conventional tank testing, and its data quality has been validated by the Navy at the David Taylor model basin. Guys involved include Bill Burns ( Alberto Calderon protégé), Chris Todter (Team Dennis Conner, Oracle performance analyst), Daniel Casel(former Reichel Pugh), T.J Perotti (Pedrick Yacht Design, TDC in house design 2003) Johnny Smullen (Boatbuilder, local sailor). Very San Diego group doing a very cool advanced design project.
