The start of the 2011 Rolex Sydney to Hobart got off to a flying start with Bob Oatley’s Wild Oats and Anthony Bell’s Investec Loyal leading the fleet through the Sydney Heads. Wild Oats encountered  trouble before hitting the first mark with a hydraulic failure, a nut in the drive motor for the main sheet winch failed in their final manoeuvres. pretty damn bumpy out there and tonight the flight is expecting 40 knots of breeze – upwind…Nicole Scott was off shore to capture all the action.  More soon.
