With an average speed of 10,65 kts, french skipper Eric Defert established the first ever time on the North Atlantic for the young and dynamic Class 40 : 11 days 11 hours and 30 minutes. Being the first, Eric needed a goal to pursue, and he so choose to go after Charly Barr time of 12 days and 4 hours.
