The first of several new AC45 America’s Cup catamarans was officially handed over to the management of the 34th America’s Cup in a ceremony held today in Auckland. The occasion commenced with a tribute by "The Voice of the America’s Cup" PJ Montgomery, who acted as Master of Ceremonies. Lady Pippa Blake, wife of the late Sir Peter Blake, an icon in New Zealand Sailing, then took part in blessing the boat with Maori elders of the local Ngati Whatua tribe. Read on.
