This morning we received a press release from Banque Populaire confirming that she will leave tomorrow for her Jules Verne attempt despite somewhat soft conditions likely in the North Atlantic as a depression moves off the Canaries.  Between the tracking, the games, and the multiple races and record attempts going on right now, 2010-11 is without a doubt the best winter for desk-bound sailing fans in history!  See Master & Commander story below for more info, and thanks to top French offshore photographer Benoit Stichelbaut for the shot.
