The photo you used in the ‘missile’ story was of the Shaw 650 Peow Peow (Andrew Trigell) which came 2nd overall in the ASBA National Titles, and would have won the race the pic was taken. Breeze was around 20-25knts on the day and the water a little brown after all the rain/flooding in Queensland over the last few months. A number of boats (including the Stealth 8 Guided Missile in this Suellen Hurling photo, from Mackay in central Qld) cannot get their boats home due to the flooding. Peow Peow was home built in Brisbane and was launched in October 2010, and there’s a long thread in the forum about her.
Thanks again for your help in promoting the SB fleet in Australia. It’s great to make the front page and it has generated HEAPS of new interest – picked up 3-4 new starters as a result of the event promo on SA during/since. More pics from Suellen are here.
