The International 420 World Championships are taking place now until the 5 of January at the Yacht
Club Argentino in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first three days of racing have seen winds above 20
knots and lots of big waves. There has been at least 10 broken masts because the regatta is taking
place on a river delta, so only three meters of depth. Beautiful weather and lots of wind is making for
an amazing regatta, with 41 women’s teams and 56 open teams from 18 country’s and 5 continents.
There have been 6 races done and the race committee is planning on racing 6 more. The leaders so
far are Pablo Volker Agustin and Cunill Martinez. The championships website is here and here are more photos by photographer Matías Capizzano.
