Second-to-finish Hobart competitor Sean Langman (Investec Loyal) won far more than a pickle dish this year.  Along with crew Ty Oxley, he won the everlasting gratitude of a little girl and her family after saving her life the week before the race when she fell in the water and became trapped under a floating pontoon.  In a strange coincidence, the girl was treated at a hospital that was a beneficiary of the Loyal Foundation that Langman’s Hobart fundraising benefits.  There’s enough good karma around this incident to last a long, long time.
