Everything that this young woman touches turns to gold, evidenced by Daily Telegraph photog Brett Costello’s winning of the prestigious Walkley Award for Journalism with this helicopter shot of Jess’s pink ride as she waited to enter Sydney Harbour on her triumphant return.  This might be the best sailing shot we’ve ever seen.

Will her good luck go far as doublehanded offshore racing?  If Anarchist gossip is correct, she’ll be sailing with Scott Cavanaugh on his sexy new Bakewell-White Mini Transat in the shorthanded class of the Pittwater to Coffs race just after the New Year.  We wish young Jess the best of luck.  She may be the best thing to hit Australian yachting in a very long time.
