Someone broke into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame at the Wichita Boathouse on Halloween night and stole a replica of the America’s Cup trophy, along with two footballs honoring the legendary Gale Sayers, police said today.

The replica of the trophy won by Bill Koch in 1992 is worth an estimated $50,000, said Lt. Barry VonFange, head of the burglary section of the Wichita Police Department. Read more.
