white flight
This strange little beast was hatched as part of a school project – a design thesis by twenty-something Italian racers Edoardo and Fabrizio. She’s the plurally named Whites Dragons, and follows the Hydroptere model with surface-piercing foils with dampers along with t-foil rudders. Dragons runs with traps and a gennaker, and we think she’s intended to sail with a crew of two, and a recent test had her flying with that load in just 10 knots. Then again our Italian sucks, so we’re not really sure! We are sure that we’ll have much more for you on this cool little cat next week. If you have questions for these guys or just want to stay updated on this one, check out the boat’s Facebook page.
