the resurrection of the resurrection?

The last time we spoke to the guys at Santa Cruz Yachts, things were not looking too good, and we had doubts about their future. Then bang – a new energy and people have picked up the ball. Here’s the latest from them and look for an Innerview with one of their principals very soon as we are dying to know the inside story about this.

AWC Marine Group, LLC, an Annapolis based company, has recently acquired the rights to the Santa Cruz Yachts brand. AWC’s acquisition of Santa Cruz Yachts sets the course for the company to succeed and grow.  The management team backed by strong financials is prepared to introduce new models for years to come

AWC plans to continue with the SC37 e-glass model offering the SC37 e-glass at the up coming Annapolis boat show for the factory direct pricing of $219,000.00.  In speaking with the owners, Garret and Tate, they made it clear that the SC 37 e-glass is the right boat for the market place. “These yachts will provide the sailing community with a whole new boating experience, while providing accommodations for 8 people to camp out on the weekends” said Tate. The Santa Cruz Yachts new products will include the immediate introduction of a 43/44 cruiser-racer, which you should expect to see on the water by summer.  “The new boat will provide comfortable accommodations for true voyaging and be produced to the legendary Santa Cruz traditions of the Bill Lee designs.  You can also expect a full line of new designs to meet the continuing demand in the market place.
