here’s the pitch(pole)

Ya gotta love it when a company isn’t afraid to have a little fun with their boats…

The pic is Chris Kitchen of Weta Marine (New Zealand) doing performance (crash) testing on the Weta in high wind conditions.  This image was taken moments after the bow buried deep and popped the boat out of the water like a cork.  The next step in the process you can guess…  Somehow I think Chris was enjoying himself – if you look closely he’s got a big smile on his face.  Nothing like a fun day of sailing your performance trimaran!

In the US, Wetas have a busy fall lineup of races in San Francisco and San Diego and New York and of course we’ll have a fleet at the International Sailing Anarchy Sport Boat Festival in San Diego, CA – September 25 & 26.
