don’t blink

Sailing photography ain’t easy by a long shot – it takes years of experience, endless hours on the water, mastery of the tools of the trade (and how to use them in some of the least hospitable conditions possible), and the kind of eye that just doesn’t miss much.  There are some great ones out there, but when you review thousands of photos each year, one stands out from the rest.

And while Studio Borlenghi now calls half a dozen top photogs its own, you can just tell when the master is behind the lens.  This shot from ‘Il Maestro", Carlo Borlenghi, and check out a pile of similarly spectacular shots from today’s big mistral conditions at the Porto Cervo Maxi Worlds. The biggest irony?  Borlenghi ain’t a sailor.
