here they come!
When disagreements within the Farr (neé Mumm) 30 Class resulted in their 2009 Worlds being cancelled, a cry went out around the world from the crowds of top sailors for whom the offshore racer with the dinghy attitude is an all-time favorite. Was this the end of Class racing? Was the Mumm/Farr 30 going to end up as a handicap distance racer? Less than a year later, the Class is back on its feet again, with building participation and a group of members working together for one goal: More great racing.
With that in mind, Deneen Demourkas, International Class President, wants to invite every Farr 30 owner or interested party to Hyeres, France for the Farr 30 Worlds from the 23rd to the 31st of October. With an autumn average breeze of ‘fresh to frightening’, it’s the perfect place for a boat that loves breeze and waves. And with new class management and a new spirit of international cooperation, this may be the biggest Farr 30 Worlds ever!
