A Melges 24 blasts through the short, steep chop in Corpus Christi during this week’s Gulf Coast Championship, a micro-preview of next year’s M24 Worlds.  The fleet is seriously split; four of the top teams in the country (Rosebud, Brickhouse, WTF, and Simplicity) unsurprisingly have the top 4 spots, while the rest are rounded out by 6 local/regional teams including ‘Devil Dog’, driven by 75 year old Jack Kern.  Alan Field’s WTF leads after four races. Photo by Meredith Block, and look for loads more along with video in the thread sometime this weekend, along with a little analysis of the venue when we have some time to get it done.
