The recycled-bottle-and-epoxy built catamaran "Plastiki" left San Francisco this weekend on her voyage to spread awareness about the peril our oceans face from plastic waste.  The six-person crew includes a videographer and cameraman to document the trip, and they estimate "up to 100 days" for the transpacific voyage that will end in Sydney.  The cause is as noble as can be, but given their 2-day log of 82 miles and almost no real shakedown of the catamaran, to quote a famous Aussie film: "Tell ’em they’re dreaming."
