I submitted an article about a couple months ago about David Luckenbach, the sailor out of Austin, TX who was fighting cancer (and was doing a damn good job of it). I am deeply saddened today to let you know that David passed away on Tuesday.
David was a gem in the sailing community. He was an avid Flying Scot sailor and ran a free sailboat classified ads website, SailingTexas.com. He taught hundreds of people how to sail, many of which went on to buy their own boats and continue to sail today.
David’s greatest wish was that his website, SailingTexas.com would continue. His wife, Alison, will be running the website now. I ask that anytime you are looking to buy/sell a boat, give www.SailingTexas.com a chance!
