The breaking news is that the S/V Concordia, a sail training ship owned by the West Island College International based out of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, has sunk approx 500 km from Rio. All passengers and crew made it into life rafts and have been rescued, but the cause of the sinking is still not known. Story here.
