some sun/more fun
After yesterday’s washout, I went home hoping for a better day today. The
weather forecast was not encouraging. Another cold front was on the way
probably pushing squalls before it but no– this time the weather lost and we
won. Under slightly gloomy skies, We ("we" are the race committee) set a
racecourse in a light SW wind and began to roll out the races. We got 5 in
altogether and they just got better and better. The Biscayne Bay seabreeze
filled in and our famous sunshine beamed down through the clouds.
After 6 races the clear leaders are USA 6–Hannah Nattrass with crew Graham
Biehl, but the big story so far seems to be Adam Roberts and David Hughes
sailing USA 1. This is their first time in the 29er and they are tied for
second with the Argentines Francisco Piccini and Sofia Tedin In ARG2. Kit Temple.
