JC At The Alter

JC At The Alter

Sig 45 flying a hull last week in St. Tropez
No, not that JC – but our own longtime pal and catamaran pro John Casey. JC is dominating the US Multihull Championships – the Hobie Alter Cup – in Clearwater, FL this week, with four bullets in five races so far and another anarchist, John Williams, ulling his strings. This year’s Alter Cup is sailed in sexy little F-16 Vipers, and our Tybee 500 pals Tripp Burd and Mike Easton are sailing a strong second place at the end of day 2.

While US Sailing’s website for the event is yet another bad joke (big surprise), our pal MaughanNacra20 is providing some OTW Anarchy thanks to cell phone updates from Philip Mumm on a mark boat – thank christ someone is paying attention out there.  Tune in to the week’s action, as it happens, right here.

Despite JC’s seemingly endless work making big and small multihulls go fast in Europe and the states, he’s somehow found time to produce some of the best multihull stories on the web over the past few months.  Check out this awesome report of the final F-18 event on the Dutch calendar (with an all-chick helm photo collection) and look at this shot of the new Sig 45 flying a hull last week in St. Tropez  Great shit from a great dude.
