Over 170 catamaran teams battled to be the best in one of the most competitive performance classes in the world last month in Belgium during the F-18 World Champs. Close to the epicenter of cat racing enthusiasm in Holland, the event was a huge affair with an enormous budget, mainstream sponsors, and something for everyone. Whatever the formula, the F-18 Class is firing on all cylinders – others would be smart to copy whatever it is that is making the boat and class so popular.
