Two days of endless problems sorting out how to best present the Moth Worlds to our audience reminds us why so many sailing media people have become comfortable believing that “no one is going to watch racing for hours” – it’s a lot easier than figuring out how to make it exciting.

The Moths and a great spectating spot certainly make it easy, and we were lucky to catch this segment of the entire final leg of Race 7 today in Cascade Locks, Oregon, featuring a nail-biting battle between SA and Detroit’s own Bora Gulari and Aussie stud Nathan Outteridge as they fight for the overall regatta lead into the finish.  With Bora’s mom cheering among dozens of spectators in the bleachers behind us, the excitement was palpable – we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.  See “Dora the Conqueror” below for more, and be sure to check out the entire thread for all the action from days 1 and 2.
