Air Lift

Alinghi 5 took to the air again today. The massive Russian Mil Mi26 helicopter lifted the boat from Lake Geneva, made a fuelling stop in Biella, Italy then continued on to Genoa where it landed at 14:30 outside the Yacht Club Italiano. Temperatures over the Alps were a mere 12°C at the Great St Bernard Pass, which peaks at an altitude of over 9000 ft. Pic Carlo Borlenghi and more here.
