The Waikiki Yacht Club ran three windward leeward races today of the 2009 FujiSanke Business i Waikiki Offshore Series. Starting off the Kahala Hotel in 10 -17 kts the boats beat and surfed between the Kokohead and Diamond Head marks. Using a mid course start, the 2.5 mile legs challenged the sailors on every boat for 25 miles of trade wind sailing.
With four races completed the corrected standing overall in ORR are: John Spadaro’s Boomerang 9, Gil Budar’s Gerontius 10, Scott Bradley’s Cazan 11 and Gary Fanger’s Tabasco 11. In PHRF Gil Budar leads with 8, John Spadaro and Scott Bradley are tied at 10 and Tabasco has 13.
