Stamm The Man

With the future of his Open 60 still in the balance, Stamm and his faithful sponsor Cheminées Poujoulat have come aboard Bruno Jourden’s old Class 40 for this season and Stamm skippered it in the Trophy SNSM, an all-comers, anything goes 284 mile race from St Nazaire to St Malo. It used to be the stamping ground of ORMA tris, but this year the tris were fewer and smaller. One did win it, but right behind, in second place, was that man Stamm and who was behind him? For a start Marc Guillemot on Safran, followed by none other than Vendée Globe winner Michel Desjoyeaux, on Foncia and various other Open 60s.
