H&S yacht Sales, one of the biggest, if not the biggest new boat dealerships here in Cali has closed their doors. Once dealers for Beneteau, Catalina, Hunter, and others as well as a slew of powerboats, it is quite a blow to the sport. We don’t know the details, but we suspect the combination of new boats sails falling off the cliff, flooring costs changing dramatically, and financing disappearing all added up to a big negative. There is a message on their website, and we have an e-mail into one of the owners so maybe we’ll get the rest of the story, but clearly the damage has been done..
