The Sav-On-Foods Van Isle 360 is yet another race that we’d like to check out some day (though preferably after a few more years of global warming). Organizers pulled together this edition of the 580 NM biannual race without a title sponsor until the last minute, and 30-odd boats are now circumnavigating the wild and wooley Vancouver Island as we speak. The race happens in stages – some very short ones, and some incredibly hard bits that traverse some of the roughest waters of the North American coast. Quite a diverse group as well, and we’ll be monitoring this neat race. Here are overall results up to this point, the end of Leg 2, and here’s the news feed.
