No Such Luck
Yesterday, we published the tale of the lucky guys who went out of Southport, Australia in a storm and were lucky to make it back to port; others weren’t so lucky. Two guys in a 13 meter wooden boat, Bide a Wee, left Sydney’s North Harbour under sail and ended up on the rocks at Grotto Point, near Dobroyd Head. Boats were both unable to reach the two men on the stranded yacht, because of wild waves and strong wind, so a police helicopter had to winch them to safety. The men did not appear to be injured, but were flown to Manly Hospital as a precaution; we guess Bide a Wee is terminal. Photo from Christophe Launay and more of the sad sight here.
