Another heat wave on Lake Neuchatel was not accompanied by decent winds. The Safram M2 Speed Tour started the season as anything but, with almost zero wind on day one and just three races started. There was absolutely no wind on day two and temperatures that were more like July than May, so the regatta was declared a none event, with not enough races run. Nevertheless, the organizers were delighted with the performances in those few races, which showed that they can expect some very competitive racing, wind permitting.

Tomorrow and Wednesday the fleet leaves for Lake Geneva, by helicopter, where the boats will take part in the Rolle-Geneva-Rolle event, then the famous Bol d’Or Mirabaud one week later. Photo by Camille Gautier and more here.
