Gone but not Forgotten

Most of us remember that last November, iconic race boat designer George Olson died of cancer.  The thread that his death inspired is one of the most touching tributes we’ve seen of any sailor, anywhere.  It got a new touch of grace yesterday when George’s wife Lyn saw the thread and said her piece, even offering to donate a beautiful sculpture of an O-30 for the class’s perpetual championship.  This is the kind of thing that makes this community so great, and anyone who’s ever been touched by one of George’s iconic designs owes it to themselves to check it out and add your comments.
