Drunk and Disabled and a Deadline

From Dawg:

A beer sponsor and a bunch of disabled sailors…….sounds like an accident waiting to happen. Oh Bull, I like getting drunk in my wheelchair because I don’t have to worry about finding a place to sit before I fall down LOL….. Seriously the deadline for, The first annual Robie Pierce One Design Regatta presented by Heineken has announced it will extend the due date to April 20 for resumes to be considered for this year’s event, to be held June 5-7 at the American Yacht Club (Rye, NY). In its first year, the fleet has been capped at 25 boats.
As of today’s original due date, 15 applications have been accepted, leaving 10 spots open.

So, if you are disabled and like sailing and like Heineken then you had better register.  Even blind sailors have also been invited to submit resumes. Resumes for remaining spots in the event will be accepted on a first come, first served basis for qualified, disabled sailors. The event’s presenting sponsor, Heineken, has developed a strong local sailing platform through its local distributor with long standing sponsorship of sailing events at American Yacht Club and other major regattas on Long Island Sound.
