Spirit of Misery

Pete Goss’s “Spirit of Mystery” voyage from the UK to Australia in a 37′ wooden lugger has been fascinating action going on lately. Goss and some of his family have been sailing in atrocious weather in the Southern Ocean for weeks now, and one of the crew just broke his leg during a knockdown, and has been taken off the boat.  The storm story is exhilarating to read about, and the video is truly frightening.

Mystery should arrive Monday at Port Philip Heads should any Anarchists want to go down and meet them as they sail in. Bravo to the crew, and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured Mark Maidment.
