Double Down

Our “Wing And A Prayer” story the other day led to the usual Sailing Anarchy conversation; some insults, some bullshit, and a ton of excellent information from some of the most experienced voices in the world.  Learn something new for yourself from the most successful hard sail designer in history, the current C-Cat (Little America’s Cup) Champ and his crew, the designer of the Gunboat, and chat with them yourselves. That’s what this place is about.

Oh – and SA is also about cool boats – and that thread gave us these two videos showing the latest from Dennis Conner’s 22-year old “Stars & Stripes” twins.  The AC winning version languishes in Mexico on a mooring, taking tourists for occasional rides – while the soft-sailed version had a brief run at some freshwater records last summer, ending with her rig at the bottom of Lake Huron.  It was recovered by some quick-thinking Anarchists, but the records still stand.
