Lightning Strikes

An entire day watching slow PHRF boats and J/80s during Key West On-The-Water Anarchy, presented by Quantum Sails and my brain has turned into mush, but we had some fun and shared the shitboxes with you – can we go back to the fast boats now?

15-20 knots and the coldest day in Key West since 2006 meant tough sailing on all courses, and the biggest story was probably Farr 40 triple world champ Vincenzo Onorato with a terrible 9,10 today after a 1,1,2,1 opening to the regatta.  As predicted, Jim Richardson’s Barking Mad has risen to the top, with Terry Hutchinson doing what he does best – making shit happen.  Giovanni Maspero’s Joe Fly slipped ahead of Mascalzone as well – and you can listen to Vincenzo’s comments about today and how much he loves SA right here.  Despite his SA comments, we were really taken by his charisma and just what an obviously nice guy he is.
