I plan to sail from DC to Jacksonville, Fl in late
November 08 and trying to mitigate unnecessary risk. I want to avoid the
ICW most of the way and plan to leave the Chesapeake around VA/NC coast
stopping in Cape Hatteras, Charleston then to Jacksonville. I sail a 37′
Hunter. What risks will I need to prepare for sailing around the VA/NC
Outer Banks during this time of year (late Nov) in regards to weather
conditions and easy of navigating during in this area approximately 5-15
miles offshore?
