to recap some of the news today before the racing recap….

yeah. rhumb punch is out. total bummer, but everyone on the boat has
a great attitude. a new rig was found and rigging available, but the
guys decided to do the smarter thing and just withdraw and get their
whole rig package sorted out for key west. the failure was either d2
or v1 at the first spreader. that is where the mast sheared off. as
hike bitches! put it, ‘we were hiking, then we were wet, then we were
dry’. it failed that quick and everyone’s hearts go out to those guys
and gals.
