Hump Day

Here
in Cartegena the Levante persists. We can pretty much forget about the
light air event this week that many people anticipated. Twenty knots TWS
was the norm for today. The seas had spread out a little but had increased
in height. Basically port tack sucked and starboard gybe rocked. The committee
boat had some trouble setting an anchor but perseverance paid in the end
we were off to the races by 1400. The first race had us getting slapped
around a little up the first beat but shaking much of it off. By the time
Quantum Racing got to the top mark we were able to keep Bribon and Tau
from getting around inside of us. In the end, Bribon had a shocker of
a race and we finished fourth. QR was even leading the event for a few
minutes or at least until we had to go racing again.
