Gorge-ous Mothing
This weekend’s Moth US Nationals was a preview of the 2009 Worlds, with 16 racers competing at Cascade Locks in the Columbia River Gorge – one of the world’s most idyllic dinghy racing venues. Check the thread for the official results and a great report from Charlie McKee – in the meantime, Bora Gulari gives us his take:

“It was sweet – just classic Gorge racing. We drove cross country and set up camp on the grass right next to the gorge, with a beautiful view of the river and of big mountains of Washington State right across the way. We watched locals pulling salmon from the river as we woke up in the morning. Worlds will be around the same time of year, and you just can’t beat the climate, the scenery, and the camping. Probably half the fleet was camping, and the other half stayed in various hotels nearby.
