The
first ever Brenta 38 North American Regatta was held in Sag Harbor,
NY this past weekend. A good southwesterly arrived for the fully crewed
racing on Saturday with 12-18 knots and higher gusts. Fred Stelle and
Adrian Keller’s WitchLi dominated the racing with three bullets while
Billy Macklowe’s Abraxas came in second and Charlie Lamberta’s Cinderella
came in a close third. Sunday’s single handed race was great fun with
Chris Dowling driving WitchLi to another first and Bruce Tait aboard
Abraxas held off Charlie Lamberta’s Cinderella for another day. Empty
Prosecco and Peroni bottles were rolling in the bilges at the end of
the event!
