Big Pimpin’, Test Pilots Wanted

Okay, this is a very cool thing – check it.

Many brands have “pro rider” type programs, and they are
typically focused on exactly what you’d think they would be: pros.
This is a perfectly reasonable approach because as a developer of technical
gear, you need to find out whether your stuff will stand up to the punishment
that professional practitioners of the sport will dish out, and if they
like it, maybe you can get them to say so in a public forum.

Here at Atlantis, we don’t think you need to be a professional
sailor to put sailing gear through its paces. Sure we have a few pros
in the AWG Test Pilot program, but we’re interested in what regular
sailors think, too. Sailors who actually have to buy their sailing gear
as opposed to the folks who have it handed to them when they step aboard.
Sailors who work hard and play harder, and love the idea that sailing
is the only sport where weekend warriors like us can get the chance
to go toe-to-toe with the best in the world.

So if you’re interested in becoming an Atlantis Test Pilot, send
an email to [email protected] and tell us what kind of boat you sail and where. We’ll pick three
people who represent a variety of boats and locales, and kit them out
with a selection of our best gear. All we ask is that you keep in touch
with us and let us know what you like and don’t like, and send
us some pictures of you kicking butt in our stuff. And we’ll make
sure that everyone who doesn’t get picked gets a little something
for playing.
