The ’08 tropical storm season is upon us, and its first strike is a human tragedy of epic proportions. Over 700 passengers are missing from the a ferry that capsized in rough Philippines waters during typhoon Fengshen after running aground less than 3 miles from the island of Sibuyen. Just ten survivors made it to land so far, and rescuers haven’t been able to do anything in the big seas left over from the storm.
