A
fair number of you gave us a fair amount of grief over a
piece that we ran questioning sailing god Gary Jobson’s claim that
he is an ISAF Group 2 sailor. In truth, the facts left no doubt that Jobson
is not a 2, and in fact is a Group 3.
It
comes then as no real surprise that we received a letter from the ISAF
Sailor Classification Committee Chairman Antony Matusch in which he says
that Gary Jobson has contacted the Classification Committee and asked
that his Group rating be changed from a 2 to a 3. We’d guess the
SA heat applied pointed him to the right decision. Atta boy.
